Chenzhou integrates into Greater Bay Area through cultural tourism market

Chenzhou and cities in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area are friendly neighbors. For a long time, the Greater Bay Area has been an important tourist source and marketing destination. Chenzhou has also been rated as the “Most Popular Domestic Tourist Destination of the Year” by people from Guangdong Province.

In recent years, Chenzhou has done substantial work in connecting with the cultural and tourist market in the Greater Bay Area, and held special cultural tourism promotions in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other places for many times. It has actively participated in the international tourism expo and tourism commodity expo in the Greater Bay Area, and invited mainstream media and tourism experts from the Greater Bay Area to visit Chenzhou. 
 
In addition, since 2021 Chenzhou and Guangzhou travel agencies have worked together to provide tourists with quality tourist routes between both sides, relying on the abundant cultural and tourism resources, cultural heritage resources, unique climate and transportation advantages, including the place where the “Half A Quilt” story took place, the Dongjiang Lake, the Mangshan Mountain and the Yangtian Lake, as well as cultural heritage resources like Hunan Kunqu Opera, Xiangnan Wood Carvings and ancient folk residences. 
 
With the quality upgrading of scenic spots and in-depth integration of culture and tourism, the cultural and tourism products of Chenzhou have always been popular among tourists. 
 
“According to the statistics, the Dongjiang Lake, Gaoyi Ridge, Mangshan Hot Spring and other scenic spots with beautiful natural scenery are popular among tourists from the Greater Bay Area,” said Huang Mingqing, general manager of Chenzhou QHL Travel Agency.
 
He added that according to the return visit records in the past, the delicious food and beautiful scenery of Chenzhou were highly praised by tourists from the Greater Bay Area. Some elderly tourists even like to live in a homestay inn for ten or fifteen days in the scenic spots.
